inspection notices

Prior to the start of property inspections, MIT distributes notices to all properties within the “area of influence” of a construction project. The notices provide property owners with information about the upcoming project, who the contractor is, and also provides MIT’s contact information so inspections can be scheduled at their convenience.

property inspections

MIT’s Inspectors typically make two attempts to inspect a property. The property owner or resident has the option to accept an interior and/or exterior inspection, or to reject the inspection. An inspection consists of photographs and detailed notes that document any preexisting defects or deficiencies in or around the structure.

final report

The final report contains all documentation and digital photographs gathered during the inspections. Attempts to inspect, rejections, and any property owner concerns are also noted in the final report.
